sabaidee tok tok kone.... can I share a funny story with u all? It is about cooking okay. I am NOT a writer, i barely pass my english 160w.. hehehe..almost didn't get out of college. hehehe eauh toon: if you there HELP! hehehe... but here it is ..anyways... "TUM GELL" I was never much of a cook, but I do try. I remember one dinner party that my family hosted for a very important person that my dad knew back in his army days. I was asked to make “gell” which is like a chile paste. So I threw in the chile peppers and all the other ingredients that I thought was supposed to be in it inside the “coke” and proceeded to “tum gell”. It looked simple enough so I didn’t bother to ask my mom. During dinner, there was this weird expression on everyone’s faces, when they were eating the “gell", and I couldn’t understand why . It appears as if they were trying to see if there were enough ingredient in the “gell” or is it just their taste buds. Then I hear someone saying, “hey, who made the gell and forgot to put salt”? Salt was suppose to be one of my main ingredient and I forgot. For a moment there, I felt like everyone turned around and looked at me. I immediately sank very deeply into my chair and felt like running into my room, but the distance between the dinning table and my room seemed too far to run without being notice. I looked down and tried to hide the redness that flooded my face from embarrassment. My mom gave me a quick glance and didn’t say a thing. I knew I had embarrassed my family as well, but I was not braved enough to take the blame. Fortunately for me, my family was good enough not to embarrass me. I don’t know if making “gel” is considered cooking but, it sure was a cooking experience for me. I not only learned how to make “gell” but also appreciated how my family didn’t make me feel like a dummy who couldn’t even make the simplest thing such as making “gell”. I was not made a fool out of in front of people either. After the dinner party was over and the guests left, I thought for sure that I would get in trouble. But instead, my mom just told me to always put salt in the “gell” and then we just ended the night with laughter’s. the end. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
