Satjadham presents: Pain Mother cried out to the sihouette by the rusty door. Father rose from his sunken old chair. They stared at you with their disappoving eyes. Their only daughter has repaid them with only anguishing grief. Stop the tears; close the gates. Empty yourself from your lamenting sorrows. Rush on out, if you can't bear it no more. Hear your mother's desperate cries. Remember your father's discouraging face. Take in your last warm breath in their distancing presence. Feel their disappointments as you slam the squeaky old door. Go on out, beyond the metal cage. Free yourself from their oppressive backward ways. Shroud your tears; disguise them with your beguiling smile. Open up the sky, be swallowed whole. Sink into the earth, be buried alive. Snip the budding rose, hold on to the thorns. Darken the shining sun, bring forth the pouring rain. For the horizon strecthed; dividing Heaven and Earth. And you chose a life drowning in purgatory. Both of your pride too great, love couldn't break through. Haunted by your mother's cries; Bothered by your father's face; You take in your last miserable breath, And feel the pain of a lonely death. *************************************** * Hak Phaang * * CSUFresno, International Relations * * Syripanomkone Nhouyvanisvong * * (209)297-4969 (209)297-0429 * * * * >>:>>:>>:>>:>>:>>:<<:<<:<<:<<:<<:<< * * *Anitya*Duhkha*Anatman* * ***************************************
