Here's my February posting. I apologize for the belated posting. Been busy school...hope you understand. Sorry, I don't have any folklore from Laos to share. However, one most important subject we hold dearly is friendship. I am sure there are numerous fables across the globe on this subject. Coincidentally, if you can find a story that exemplifies friendship, one that exhibits a life-long plutonic relationships, please tap my shoulder or email me if your arms can't reach my shoulder. Hee-hee. It would make a great gift for a marvelous friend. I want to dedicate this to my best friend. She's been there endlessly for as long as I can remember. Now that she's no longer here, I can't find it any other way to thank her but with this poem. Thanks for lending your ears...humm.eyes in this case. Enjoy David P. ------------- Commitment... ------------- Of Fate's webbed snare, of inescapable fear Of the agony in daily living, of life's endless stings Of all mortal flaws and...some, of disappoints yet to come, Of all the days within a year, of all the chaos in life to endure You stand beside me my pillar of strength In times of melancholy and moments of eroded hope In times of stagnation and movement to mope In times of woe and lament, in times when I can't You unite my torn soul, my angel of light. Thank you dear friend....
