SatJaDham is proud to present an installment of our series of "Poetry:a soft voice from a (gentle) hear": Instillation, not Installation By Toon Souksada Phapphayboun -------------------------------------------------- One by one, you peeked under our blanket One by one, you bathed and dressed us One by one, you fed and fulfilled us One by one, you hugged and kissed us. Before bedtime, you lead us in religion Before school time, you gave us inspiration Before meal time, you emphasized education And as always, you enamored us with affection. Shockingly, you departed in 1975 Tragically, you were with us no more Painfully, you must have felt I=m sure Cruelly, It stole your last breath away from us all. Your presence, I still vividly see Your hands, I still constantly touch Your wishes, I still perpetually know Your passion, I still indefinitely feel. I thank you for the eternal companion I thank you for the flourishing courage I thank you for the achieved knowledge I thank you for the continuous compassion. I were you, I am you, I shall be you, I have become you, Religiously. Inspirationally. Educationally. Wholeheartedly. ------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer : The views expressed in all SatJaDham postings are the responsibilty of the author and do not neccessarily represent those of all members of SatJaDham or the Lao community.
